Marathon events are always interesting. The most awaiting 2015 London Marathon event will take place on April 26. The virgin London Marathon event is one of life’s great challenges. With over 35,000 runners taking the streets of the capital and over 1 million spectators along the marathon route, the London Marathon is the most exciting running event in the calendar year and one not to be missed! Perhaps you’re looking for the personal challenge of a lifetime – to run 26 miles, or maybe you are running in memory of a loved one who has been affected by cancer or some other life limiting illness.

Official Marathon ballot: The public ballot system for the 2015 Virgin Money London Marathon event is now closed. The results will be released in October 2014 so if you were one of the 125,000 people who entered, we will be keeping our fingers crossed for you.
Official Gold Bond places: If you missed the ballot, don’t worry! Sense has guaranteed Gold Bond entries in the London Marathon sports event. In order to secure one of our places, we will ask you to pay an upfront non-refundable registration fee of £100 and raise a minimum sponsorship of £1,500. Please don’t be daunted by this as we will be on hand to ensure you hit your target.

In 2015 Foyle Hospice will be sending a team to the Virgin London Marathon event and have secured a limited number of guaranteed Places. Commenting on the event Noel McMonagle, Community Fundraiser said ‘Last year our team raised over £40,000 for the work of the Hospice, allowing our dedicated staff to provide ongoing palliative care services for our patients. Overall running costs for the Hospice in 2014 were £2.8million and with only 19% funding from government we depend greatly on the support of our community through events like the Virgin London Marathon to raise the rest. The Virgin London Marathon is said to be the best marathon of them all. With the support of the crowds, fantastic atmosphere, this marathon is not one to miss!’
